Syracuse University is geared up and ready to host it’s own unique version of Midnight Madness next Friday at the Carrier Dome. Entry to AmeriCU Credit Union’s Midnight Madness is free to the public; but requires event goers to pick up a general-admission ticket limited to lower-bowl seating only while supplies last, according to The Post-Standard.
Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and the real fun kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with the platinum-album selling, Grammy award-winning group Naughty by Nature. Naughty by Nature will serve as a warm up act for the “Trick Hoopz and Alley Oops” show with The Harlem Wizards performing. Singer, Marcus Canty, a performer from Showtime at the Apollo is scheduled to make an appearance.
The night will be filled with scrimmages and drills with both men’s and women’s basketball teams represented. A dunk and dance contest is also on the menu for the night’s festivities, according to The Post-Standard.
The University is offering free parking located in the Stadium West lots by the Dome and at Manley Field House. Complementary bus shuttles will run from the Manley lots.
Tickets for the event will be available starting Oct. 13, and are limited to four per person and are entirely complementary at the Carrier Dome Box Office and Schine Student Center on campus while supplies last, according to The Post-Standard.
