Syracuse University may soon be offering college-level courses to high school students in Dubai, according to The Post-Standard.
Syracuse University Project Advance currently works with 180 high schools around the country to offer courses ranging from writing to economics. Now this same program could soon be seen in Dubai high schools, University officials said.
If SU is successful in bringing SUPA to Dubai, it would be the first university to offer courses in a high school outside of the United States. Some course offerings may include biology, calculus, chemistry, economics, writing and psychology.
The program may eventually spread to other countries including the United Arab Emirates and countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, according to SU officials.
