Syracuse teen faces maximum sentence

Plus, Sarah Palin fires back at Obama on nuclear issues and Sandra Bullock breaks silence to say 'there is no sex tape.'

Syracuse, NY -- According to The Post-Standard, a 17-year-old Syracuse teen, who admitted today hitting a nurse with car, will get a sentence 1 1/3 to four years in prison. Supreme Court Judge John Brunetti said this is the maximum sentence for a youthful offender.

Andre Escobar, 17, of 326 N.Beech St., hit the 61-year-old nurse Rebecca Forsythe by car around 9:30 p.m. on Dec.2. Forsythe worked as a temporary nurse at Crouse Hospital and was walking across Irving Avenue when she was struck by Escobar's car. 

Escobar surrendered to police Dec.11 and was charged with assault, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Judge Brunetti scheduled to sentence Escobar May 21 and Forsythe will be in the courtroom.

Sarah Palin fires back at Obama on nuclear issues

According to ABC News, During the Southern Republican Leadership Conference Friday, Sarah Palin attacked the Obama administration for its nuclear weapon policy.

President Obama announced recently that in most cases that United States will not use nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear country.

"Last I checked, Sarah Palin's not much of an expert on nuclear issues," Obama said.

Palin hit back at the president's criticism of her knowledge on nuclear issues.

"Limiting nuclear weapons is like a school kid asking to be hit," she said.

 

Sandra Bullock breaks silence: "There is no sex tape."

According to ABC News, Jesse James,  the husband of Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock, was reportedly cheated on her with at least four other women, and has made more than a dozen sex tapes. 

After weeks of keeping silent, Bullock said to People Magazine Tuesday in an interview that there are no sex tapes.

"There is no sex tape," Bullock, who has been known for guarding her personal life and for chasteness on screen, said. "There never has been one and there never will be one."
