Syracuse spring gets more rain than anticipated

Flood watch issued until tomorrow morning.

This month has given meaning to the phrase, "April showers bring May flowers." So far this month Syracuse has seen 5.48" of precipitation, according to the News Channel 9 weather department. A warm front is expected to move into Central New York today leading to steady rain and thunderstorms.

With already more rain than anticipated this month and more on the way, a flood watch has been issued for regions surrounding Onondaga County with low-lying areas near streams. The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers everyday this week with the exception of Saturday.
