According to The Post-Standard and the Daily Orange, the creator of SUCOLitis, a satirical blog aimed at Syracuse University College of Law students, is under investigation for writing and publishing what one student say was “harassing statements.”
Len Audaer, a second-year law student and creator of the blog said he received a letter from an SU professor explaining that a student had come forward charging Audaer with harassment. The blog contains a disclaimer saying the blog is for comedic purposes only and should not be mistaken for a serious news site.
There is much controversy surrounding the case as the debate of free speech takes center stage, especially for a school like the S.I Newhouse School of Public Communication, which is founded on the teachings of the freedom of press.
Here you'll find what's happening in the news that you should know about now. Check this blog Monday-Friday this semester for regular updates throughout the day.
