Roofs collapse in New England as snow continues to fall

Older buildings across New England crumble under snowy conditions.

Everything from homes, barns and churches across New England have collapsed because of snow, reports The New York Times. Roofs of old buildings are caving in due to the large amounts of snow that have fallen latley.

Record snow loads have caused these collapses.

Despite a recent stretch of lower temperatures, the roofs continued to fall this week as temperatures fell yet again. The thawing and freezing of the snow is partly what caused damage to the roofs.

Businesses and commuter rails have been affected in turn affecting people from completing their daily business. Schools have been evacuated and roofers are in high demand to combat the heavy snow fall which doesn't appear to be letting up anytime soon.

Snow shovelers are also in high demand and some people have resorted to putting up bulletins in search of any help they can get.
