Marijuana could get you fired

Medical marijuana has become a hot topic in the United States, but according to CNN.com, it is now costing some people their jobs. As of today, 14 states nationwide legally allow the use of medical marijuana. This type of marijuana protects users from being accused of a crime, but it does not ensure protection from potential punishment from employers. Joseph Casias, a former Wal-Mart employee was fired last November due to a failed drug test, but he, like many others is legally prescribed to use medical marijuana. Therefore, people in those 14 states must be wiling to accept the fact that their medical marijuana could cost them their job. To be healthy or to maintain your livelihood, this is the decision many are now being forced to make.
