Oswego jail inmate faces more time after flooding cell

Prisoner broke sprinkler, causing flood.

A man from Fulton faces more jail time after he caused a flood in the Oswego County Jail, The Post-Standard reports.

Donald Adams, 24, of 354 E. Broadway, Fulton has been in jail since December 12 and was set to be released in May. He used a plastic cup to cause a flood that damaged property in the jail, Oswego County Deputies report.

Fulton took a plastic cup and repeatedly banged it against a sprinkler, eventually breaking it. Water rushed out of the sprinkler head flooding his jail unit and damaging his matress.

Fulton was arrested on charges of third degree felony criminal mischeif. Adams was arraigned in Oswego City Court and sent back to jail in lieu of $100 bail.
