Thousands of refugees are crossing Libyan broders into Tuniaia and Egypt in the wake of recent uprisings in the coutnry. The violence is driving people to pack up and leave their homes in search of a safe-haven, according to CNN.
Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has vowed to support refugees with the use of American cargo and military planes to transport supplies. The Pentagon said that two cargo planes were in route with supplies to Tunisia but weren't officially cleared to bring refugees out.
According to the Ingternational Organization for Migration, more than 200,000 refugees have already left the violence of Libya behind them. The IOM is working alongside the U.N. refugees agency to organize mass evacuations.
