Natalie Portman said she is "shocked and disgusted" by Dior chief designer John Galliano after a videotape surfaced where he allegedly made anti-semitic comments, said People.
Portman said she shouldn't be associated with Galliano in any way. She also said that she was proud of her Jewish heritage and that Galliano's comments were "terrible" and hopes that "these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon existing prejudices that are the opposite of beautiful."
In the video Galliano is reported to have said "I love Hitler." He is also said to have told two people that they "should have been gassed."
He has been accused of making two separate racist remarks against clients. An ongoing police investigation may lead to criminal prosecution of Dior's chief designer.
