Michelle Obama launched her Let's Move campaign today. The program is aimed at fighting childhood obesity. Mrs. Obama said the Let's Move campaign will encourage children to eat healthier and exercise.
In an interview with ABC News, Mrs. Obama said she loves unhealthy foods such as hamburgers and cake, and these foods don't need to be eliminated all together. She just wants to encourage all children to balance unhealthy eating with more healthy habits, like she does with her own daughters.
Syracuse Police announced the arrest of a man accused in August of fatally stabbing someone at the Syracuse Latin American Festival. Mizrain Trinidad-Ayala of Syracuse was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree manslaughter for the death of Syracuse resident, Anthony Lewis. Trinidad-Ayala is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Police say they are still investigating the incident and interviewing people who were in the crowd on the night of the stabbing.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame added Ringo Starr to its line of celebrities on Monday. The star was unveiled in front of the Capital Records building. Former Beatles members, John Lennon and George Harrison, also have their own stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in addition to the Beatles band star. Starr is the 2,401st star added to the sidewalk.
