Want to create smartphone apps like angry birds or wordfeud? Well now there's a college degree for that.
According to the UK Telegraph, Rasmussen College launched 2- and 4-year degree courses in app making. Rasmussen has campuses in five states and also offers online courses.
Hap Aziz, the director of Rasmussen College's School of Technology, told technology website All Things Digital that these new degree courses stem from the demand for app developers.
"There is going to be a continued need as people start adopting more smart devices."
A few lucky "techies" were able to enroll in the program this month and more students are expected for this fall. Presently, the cirriculum focuses on app development for the popular iPhone and Android but will adapt and expand as the mobile market changes.
