The past week hasn't gone as planned for Kansas University basketball, reports ESPN. After ascending to No. 1 team in the nation last Monday, a reversal of fortunes began to occur. That very same night, the Jayhawks were upset by unranked Kansas State. And with the team falling to No. 3 in this week's AP Poll, more unfortunate news has happened.
Head Coach Bill Selfwas announced this afternoon junior guard Tyshawn Taylor has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. No timetable has been set for his return.
The Jersey City native was averaging 8.8 points per game along with 4.7 assists per game, while shooting 36.1 percent from the field.
The 25-2 Jayhawks are looking to move forward tonight without Taylor as they host Oklahoma State at the Phog Allen Fieldhouse.
Here you'll find what's happening in the news that you should know about now. Check this blog Monday-Friday this semester for regular updates throughout the day.
