Jay Leno forced to give credit for stolen bit

Video montage was aired with no credit for the creators

According to Fancast, Jay Leno was caught stealing a video clip of country music star Taylor Swift, and was later forced to give proper credit to its original creators.

On Monday’s episode, Leno aired an entire video montage of the singer’s many surprise reactions to all her awards. Although hilarious, Leno did not give credit to bloggers Rich Juzwiak and Kate Spencer, the video’s creators.

Instead he was quoted as saying, “We put together.” Although permission was given to Leno’s staff to air the bit, Juzwiak says he was assured he and his blog would get proper credit on the show.

“What surprised me the most wasn’t so much that Kate and I weren’t mentioned, but that the video wasn’t credited as having originated on the Internet,”’ Juzwiak said on his blog.

Leno has been famously criticized by his peers for in the past stealing material from other, and some are saying it’s about time.
