Ahmadinejad talks sanctions, uranium swap
In a press conference held earlier today, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he'd act against any country planning on enforcing new sanctions against Iran. Ahmadinejad also said he's still contemplating a U.N. proposed uranium swap. The trade would give Iran nuclear fuel in exchange for some of its low-enriched uranium. Some countries suspect that Iran could be using its uranium to produce nuclear weapons. VOA News has the full story.
Nicole Richie, Joel Madden Getting Married
The Associated Press reports that Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are engaged. Richie announced that she and Madden are getting married last night during a taping of CBS's "Late Show With David Letterman." The couple already have two children. Madden is a member of the popular band Good Charlotte, while Richie gained fame while co-starring alongside Paris Hilton on the hit television show "The Simple Life." Richie's appearance on David Letterman will air on Friday night.
Three-Car Accident Closes I-81 in Syracuse
A three-car accident this morning closed I-81 south in Syracuse from 8:05 until around 9 a.m. Police say Teresa Lamb's vehicle was struck from behind by Nicole Pallastro's Mitsubishi Galant while Lamb was trying to merge onto I-690 east. Leah Porter's Chevy Cobalt was also hit as a result of the accident. Police gave Pallastro a ticket for driving without a license. The Post-Standard has the full story.
