Last Friday Jackie Kasburg played in her first high school football game and then was crowned homecoming queen.
Kasburg played soccer for 13 years, but when she saw that her high schools football team, Chippewa High (OH), was not doing so well she decided to try out. Kasburg was not given her role though, she had to earn her spot on the team she had to out kick the former starter in a kicking competition during practice.
So far this season Kasburg has only kicked extra points but she has ambitions of doing more. In practice she has nailed field goals from 43 yards away. She also plans to be kicking kick-offs before the season is over. The Daily Record has interviews and more on the story.
