Glee returns tonight

Plus, JMU's Springfest turns into riot and Wes Johnson to put his name in NBA draft.
Glee will return to Fox tonight at 9:28 p.m. to complete the last 9 episodes in its first season.

Glee, which has an astonishingly large following of "gleeks," looks to finish the season even better than it started.

More songs, more drama and more laughs should be overflowing in the second-half of the season.

But, just because you aren't a gleek, doesn't mean it's too late to start watching. The premise of the show is simple; the one-hour show follows an optimistic high school teacher as he tries to transform the school's Glee Club and inspire a group of ragtag performers to make it to the biggest competition of all: Nationals.

And for those of you unfamiliar with the characters on Glee, Lehighvalleylive.com has broken down six of its stars:

  • Rachel- The kind of dorky and annoying, but really talented know-it-all   (played by Lea Michele)
  • Finn- The jock, with the tough exterior, but underneath it all is a softy and loves to sing   (played by Cory Monteith)
  • Kurt- The sarcastic and flamboyant guy who's not afraid to show the world who he is (played by Chris Colfer)
  • Emma- The timid teacher, with a lot of phobias, who has a heart of gold (played by Jayma Mays)
  • Will- The teacher, whose personal life is a mess, but truly cares about the students  (played by Matthew Morrison)
  • Sue- The loud-mouth coach who will do whatever it takes to win, never mind the people she hurts along the way (played by Jane Lynch)

Glee airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox.

JMU's Springfest turns into riot

Colleges across the country host spring events, similar to Syracuse University’s Mayfest. Many times the local community fears excess rowdiness in students, loud parties and out of control behavior.

For those living on and near the campus of James Madison University, those fears became a reality.

Saturday at JMU's Springfest 2010, block parties got out of control at college student housing. The parties were so out of control that the riot and swat team were brought in to disperse the crowd.

Approximately 8000 people were part of the crowd and many of the party-goers threw glass bottles at police. The students loudly chanted in unison and some partiers even set dumpsters on fire.

According to CNN, It took police many hours to control the crowd. Harrisonburg police, along with other area police, had to use tear gas and pepper spray on students.

He was the fourth SU player to be named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Year and the first transfer player to garner the honor.

Johnson was named to All-American teams slected by the Associated Press, FoxSports.com, National Association of Basketball Coaches, Sporting News, United States Basketball Writers Association, Wooden Award, and Yahoo!Sports.

He was a finalist for the Naismith Trophy, Oscar Robertson Trophy and The Wooden Award. According to the Post Standard, the forward, is considered a top 5 to top 10 pick in this year's NBA draft.
