Galliano to be let go

Designer Christian Dior plans to fire designer John Galliano after comments about Hitler.

According to CNN, French designer Christian Dior began proceedings to terminate designer John Galliano after Galliano was allegedly filmed praising Adolf Hitler. The comments were reportedly made in a Paris cafe last year.

Galliano said "I love Hitler" in the video and before the video was released, Dior had already suspended Galliano for other anti-Semitic remarks.

The move to fire Galliano came after Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman disagreed and was disgusted with Galliano's comments. "I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments," said Portman, "I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way."
