The people were lined up outside a bank in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, to pick up their monthly checks, police said. The Bomber rode up to the front of the National Bank in a motorcycle or a bicycle.
Hours after, a second suicide attack at a police checkpoint in Lahore, Pakistan injured 17 people.
My Take: the article says that in recent weeks, Pakistan has been subjected to a wave of attacks as Islamic militias retaliate against a military offensive operating along its border with Afghanistan. I think this is important because it is an example where people are using violence and putting others in danger in order to prove a point.

My Take: I think it’s important to be aware of the different kinds of problems other parts of New York are facing during the election, especially because we are covering the election this week.

A growing number of children of minimum-age requirements are becoming part of social-networking sites, says CNN.Com
Facebook, MySpace require users to be 13, but the sites cant really enforce it. In a survey reported this year by The Pew Internet Research found 38 percent of kid’s ages 12 to 14 have online profiles.
Scientist worry that pre-adolescent use of the sites, could be damaging to children’s relationships and brains.
My Take: I think this is an interesting story. It shows how much these social-networking sites has taken over our society and how they are now affecting children.
