East Syracuse teen sentenced for burglary

An East Syracuse teen will spend 1-3 years in state prison for breaking into a Manlius home in February to steal a handgun according to The Post-Standard.

Kevin Haines, 17, of 508 Fremont Road, East Syracuse pleaded guilty earlier this month to second-degree burglary, but his request to serve his sentence in a local prison was denied by Onondaga County Court Judge Joseph Fahey.
