Cholera Outbreak in Haiti

Experts say the trend is alarming.

Experts in Haiti are calling the recent outbreak and spread of cholera alarming according to CNN. The countries health care system is already in shambles from its massive earthquake in January.

In one part of the city there were 216 cases of cholera as of today, only five days ago there were 30 cases. The death toll climbed to 796 as of yesterday and more than 12,000 have been sickened. The UN is warning that Haiti is facing one of the worst outbreaks of cholera in nearly 100 years. Cholera, if not treated quickly, could kill someone in a few hours.
