As Chile begins to recover from the fifth strongest earthquake in 100 years, two more aftershocks shook parts of the country Friday morning.
The aftershocks came hours before U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was to meet with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and her successor.
The first aftershock shook the Bio Bio region with a magnitude of 6.0 and another aftershock struck the area near Concepcion around 8:47 with a magnitude of 6.6.
So far 279 Chileans have been reported dead and more than 200 people are still missing.

Central New York Republican chairs say they are still trying to figure out whom they will endorse for the 49th Senate District, but that is not what the two candidates are claiming.
Both Republican candidates are claiming they have received the endorsement for the Senate race. Andrew Russo of Fayetteville and Dan Liedka of East Syracuse both say they expect to win the GOP endorsement.
The 49th district covers Madison County as well as parts of Onondaga, Oneida, and Cayuga counties.
John DeSpirito III, chairman of the Onondaga County Republican Committee says no winner has been picked but Dan Liedka is the likely choice.
Russo beat Liedka by about 10 percentage points for the endorsement in Onondaga and Cayuga counties but Liedka won in Madison County. Oneida County won’t choose a candidate until April 12, 2010.
